Up to 20 MB and 100 pages per file · 10 files / 40 MB per batch

We try progressively stronger compression. Some PDFs cannot reach this size without losing more detail. 1 KB = 1,000 bytes.

How to use Compress PDF to 100KB

  1. 1Choose or drop one or more PDF files.
  2. 2Check the 100KB target and image quality floor, then compress.
  3. 3Compare the actual file size and preview, then download your PDF.

A small budget for a complete document

This tool tries to produce a PDF smaller than 100,000 bytes. Short text documents are often better candidates than high-resolution scans, but fonts and existing compression can still limit the savings.

Start with the default quality floor and inspect the result before choosing a lower setting. Repeatedly compressing an already lossy result can damage images; this tool makes each attempt from the original file in your batch.

When 100KB is not achievable

In a self-authored scanned-text test, a 476,951-byte PDF reached 340,129 bytes at the default target quality floor. It remained too large for 100KB. A document can shrink significantly and still fail a strict upload limit.

If stronger image compression is unacceptable, return to the source document: export only the pages the destination requests, reduce unnecessary images, or use an export preset intended for a small digital file. This tool does not remove pages or turn searchable text into screenshots to force a target.

Already below 100KB?

Your original is kept as-is and marked as already under the target. You can download it immediately or explicitly try further compression.

If a larger limit is allowed, try 200KB or 500KB. Use the general PDF compressor when keeping image quality matters more than reaching an exact size.

FAQ

Can every PDF be compressed to 100KB?

No. Page count, fonts, image data, and existing compression all affect the final size. The tool tries bounded quality settings and checks the actual bytes. If it cannot get below 100KB, it shows the smallest result it found without claiming the target was reached.

What counts as under 100KB?

Here, 1 KB means 1,000 bytes. The result must be strictly below 100,000 bytes. A rounded display value is not used to decide whether the file fits.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. PDF compression and preview run locally in your browser. The site downloads its processing software and may send anonymous usage events, but it does not send your file contents or filenames.

Is this PDF compressor free?

Yes. There is no sign-up or daily usage quota. Each PDF can be up to 20 MB and 100 pages, with up to 10 files and 40 MB in a batch. Processing also depends on available browser memory.

Will my PDF keep its text and image quality?

Text stays selectable and pages are not converted to images. Keep quality avoids lossy image recompression. Balanced, Smaller file, and Target size may reduce image quality. Check important details before submitting your result.

Can I compress a signed or password-protected PDF?

This version does not process encrypted PDFs, signature fields, XFA forms, or documents that need repair. Use an unsigned, unencrypted original that you are authorized to edit.
